So I decided to take my Honda for a little spin today…

Wait till you see what this hot rod does:)

Oh, and Jonny of TheLifeThing put together a cool e-book on SUCCESS.  In it, he profiled 40 bloggers from around the blogosphere on their definition of success.  Go here to download it for free.

Nice – my 98 Jeep Cherokee’s back power window has a similar “trick” it works fine, but when it gets all the way up it makes a terrible clicking/grinding noise. It freaks the hell out of people when they ride with me!

I like to call it character.

Hey now. Some of us don’t have power windows. noisy or otherwise. So next time you hear that grinding gears terrible noise, think of me reaching all the way across my passenger seat to roll down the window.
    :)

  3. So, my first (and very beloved!) car was a ‘89 Acura Legend Coupe. For whatever reason they decided that the back 1/2 windows should be power too. But considering I was driving this car still in 2006, well, I knew better than to use them and kept the child-locks on. Imagine my surprise when I am cruising down I75 (in FLA- my Sunny Home state!) and suddenly all this air is rushing in. The window had fallen down and just like in the commercials, couldn’t get back up!

Turns out the cable that drives the power window had snapped, from age I imagine. So I got off at the next exit and yanked the window back up, wedging it in place with the torn off cover of my car manual. Charming no? Oh and did I mention I was on a trip to meet my boyfriend at the time’s parents for the first time? Way to make an impression! haha.

Totally should have said “oh, uh, excuse me!” after those sounds! Now that would have been funny when picking up a date.

  5. Lol, my car was doing a similar sound this morning, but it was for a different reason, in fact it didn’t start at all :D

You know… I’m a little jealous here. I drive an Accord as well, but I don’t have the sweet sound effects to go along with it. I feel like maybe I got jipped on the full package…
