Today, I will LOL.

Have you ever seen Daryl, the silent laugher?  He opens his mouth to laugh but nothing comes out.  Where did the laugh go?

Or maybe you know his friend Bill.  Bill says “That’s funny” but doesn’t laugh.

As Igby says to Sookie in Igby Goes Down “Instead of saying someone or something is funny, why don’t you just laugh?

There are so many opportunities to laugh yet we reign them in.

We laugh when someone falls down but turn bright red when we do the same.  (Or curse and kick the side walk.)

Its’ okay to laugh at a movie or comedian but heaven forbid if we spill nacho cheese dip on our Seven jeans.

We get serious.  Curse.  Coil up.

We look at someone weird when they don’t laugh but even weirder if they laugh too loud.

We feel really weird when we’re the only one laughing.

We say sorry and keep it down to a minimum, a small whisper.

Instead, we need to slap our thighs and cut loose.  Foot loose!

Kick off your Sunday shoes!

So hoot, holler, whollop!  Howl like hyenas!

Let it out!

I want to hear you ROAR!
