PAPA reveals his Surprise Package

PAPA is back!

So, before I get started, I want to thank everyone for all the comments, emails, facebook and twitter birthday messages and for the Paypal donations.   As Diggy, one of the best guys on the Internet, was first to report: that Donate button really does work!

The trip to Big Sur from LA is about 6 hours, plus or minus traffic, but not all traffic is a bad thing.  Take this truck, for example.

I spotted the girl’s face from about a mile away and had to see what it was all about.    As I sped up got closer I could see above her big smile the words: “the joy of eating” which struck me as odd because… she’s not eating anything.

I pulled around the other side just to make sure I wasn’t missing anything, (a fork, knife, bowl of ice cream, something), but it was just her face again.  For all we know she could have just made cheer squad.   Or joined the chess club.   Sara Lee, sorry.   I won’t be buying your pies.  And is it just me or are our kids eating enough already?

Anyway…the secret package!

Happy 36, right!

If you remember I had this:

But this was boring….and a little too Hanna Montanish.    So I thought: “What could make it more fun — and POP?”

That’s when I found these smiley stress balls on-line(the secret order).

Carefully, I cut a hole, filled with super glue and…

Voila!

The Smiley Mic!

Seriously, doesn’t it put a huge smile on your face?    Imagine the face of  the first person I try this out on.  Imagine the first person receiving a shout out from the smiley mic!    I know it would brighten my day!

But the smiley mic is small compared to what I have planned coming soon.    I’ve decided: This will be the best year of my life.  And I’m passing the fun onto YOU!

Finally, Cammie of Momsmaterial is one of the coolest people out there.  Not only is she a celebrity to all the kids in her neighborhood, and eat spaghetti taco’s, she had her kids Taylor and Myles do this shout out for my birthday.  I think my smile was as big as a Mac Truck.  Or at least a SaraLee truck.
