Today, I will leave myself a steamy voicemail.

The steamier, the better.

What’s the worst that’ll happen?  Two minutes later you’ll check your phone, see the little voicemail box and think “I got a voicemail!”  Hit VM, enter your code, hear some random street noise and then a soft, raspy voice  and suddenly remember “Oh, yeah, that’s me.”

Unless, of course, you’re in the habit of letting other people replay your voicemails or listening to your messages on speakerphone in which case could even be more fun.

That’s good!   The lesson here is we need to take ourselves less seriously.   Have some fun!

If we can’t laugh at ourselves would we rather have someone laughing at us?

Right? So how do I begin?

For starters, not everyone’s a fan of the iron-vice handshake.   Ease up.   A gentle tap on the shoulder or a good fist bump goes a long way.

Attire:  Jeans are good on Fridays, why not crushit on Monday, too?  While you’re at it, leave your undies in the wash.  Instead, go commando and discover a whole new freedom.

Meetings:  Must you always put on your glasses to speak?   Dates: Do you always need to know the reviews before you see the movie?   Kids: Is there any stain Tide can’t remove?
